In this trip of Maasai stay and experience we give you a chance to live among the Maasai society to see their magnificent ancient culture. The Maasai are well known in Tanzania and Kenya embracing their culture and their way of life of nomadic pastoralism because they depend on nature for the sustenance and survival that’s why they protected wildlife and the environment for the benefit of the citizen of the world. On this program it will be your lifetime trip, you will re-center yourself with African culture practices while experiencing the Maasai culture, African arts, and the most beautiful wildlife and nature of East Africa. You will love to experience this program in your life.
Day 1 –> Arrival to Tanzania

Welcome to Tanzania. We will pick you up at Kilimanjaro international airport and overnight at hotel in Arusha city.
Day 2 –> Travel to Maasai land and Arrival to the Boma

After breakfast at the hotel you will drive to Maasai land. Along the way you’ll pass bustling Masai villages and the vast, open plains that have become the most synonymous with images of Africa.

At arrival to the boma the people will be welcoming you with Maasai songs and greetings. The guide will lead you to the boma orientation and exploring the culture and Maasai art and designs of jewelries and huts. Overnight at the Maasai boma.
Day 3 –> Experience of Maasai culture

Early morning you will be milking cows and goats with Maasai in different households in a boma. After breakfast at the boma you will help women for plastering their huts with the mixer of cow dung and clay soil, fetch water and collect firewood. You will also go herding with Maasai men after some chores of the boma. At the afternoon come back to the boma to have lunch and after lunch you will see beading experience with Maasai women. After seeing women making beads you will get a chance to talk with Maasai elders for wisdom and narratives of ancient tales. Overnight night at Maasai boma.
Day 4 –> Orpul and Oloiboni experience

Early morning you will help milking then have breakfast at the boma. After breakfast you will meet Oloiboni. Oloiboni is the Maasai diviner with prophetic powers who oversees the future of the Maasai people their rituals and livestock. He will be giving you experience of the guard he uses for prophesy. The narratives of oloiboni are an extra ordinary experience you will enjoy in the fabric of Maasai culture and spirituality. In the afternoon you will go to orpul. Orpul to the Maasai is a retreat place for healing the bodies and for spiritual renewals of nature. At orpul they slaughter a domestic animal and eat it with soups of medicinal plants. At orpul you will learn how medicinal plant uses and how the Maasai practices this powerful ancient way of healing. In the late afternoon you will leave the boma for another adventure of your program. Overnight at the campsite or hotel in mto wa mbu Karatu.
Day 5 –> African Arts and bicycle riding in mto wa mbu

After breakfast at the hotel or campsite we start a day with riding bicycles in mto wa mbu area, on the way you will get to see the banana and rice farms in mto wa mbu including red bananas, you will meet the local farmers in the area. After riding you will ride back to hotel or campsite for lunch. After lunch at this day you will discover African arts by attending two visual culture workshops in mto wa mbu. We believe there is no prior knowledge or skill is required for you to practice the visual art of painting under canvas. The first workshop you will sojourn is painting with a local artist who will tell us about Tinga Tinga visual painting tradition. Then after the visual art and painting experience you will go back to the camp or hotel. Overnight in mto wa mbu.
Day 6 –> Ngoma dances, banana beer and water fall

After morning breakfast, we go trekking to Wiwaleni waterfalls in Mto Wa Mbu village then after experience of swimming you will eat a picnic lunch at the waterfalls then after that you will visit a Chagga- village where you will see how Chagga people make traditional banana beer and you will have a chance to taste banana beer. You will also get an inside look into Chagga culture and traditions as another perspective of your adventure. After the water fall and chagga beer experience you will join an African dance workshop where you will have fun by learning rhythms and dancing with Ngoma (the drums). Overnight in mto wa mbu.
Day 7 –> Wildlife Travel day. Ngorongoro conservation area

After the breakfast at the hotel or campsite the guide will drive you to Ngorongoro crater for wildlife game drive. After breakfast at the lodge we load vehicle with your luggage’s including lunch boxes and your water. On the way the driver will stop at the view of Lake Manyara for you to overview the lake and the escarpment of the great East Africa rift valley.

After the view of the lake the driver will drive you to Ngorongoro conservation Area and have a view at the rim of the crater then drive in to the crater for game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. When you get your first glimpse of this vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you’ll soon understand why it has earned such a lofty reputation for years since its discovery. Ngorongoro is home to over 120 species of mammal including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought after safari destinations in the world. It’s a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water.

From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you’ll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa’s most recognizable faces. The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, Cape buffalo, and more. It is truly one of Africa’s premier safari destinations in Tanzania on the side of northern zone. Have lunch box at the floor of the crater after the thrills and excitement of the day, you will have a picnic lunch by the park’s famous hippo pool. After the game drive at early afternoon the driver will take you out of the crater drive to a hotel, campsite in mto wa mbu or Karatu.
